Regional Operations Manager

Summary  

The ROM will lead, oversee and manage all retail operations of our Illinois region by directing and coordinating day-to-day activities consistent with the company vision, mission, objectives, policies and procedures.  ROM will manage the operations of all Illinois stores and management teams.  The ROM will oversee and manage all aspects of store operations, sales, marketing, employment and staffing, and finance/budgeting.  The ROM will train, develop, and evaluate all staff members according to company standards and guidelines.  ROM works closely with executive management to develop and execute company strategies. 
 
Main Duties and Department Responsibilities 
  • Collaborates with executives to execute all new retail programs and goals to ensure a smooth roll out, which entails directing all departments to ensure goals are achieved.
  • Organizes and ensures all departments are held accountable to meet all goals and deadlines.
  • Directs GMs, AMs, and all store operations.
  • Communicates as needed with HQ and company executives.
  • Partners with all corporate departments as needed to support stores and store operations (Accounting, HR, Marketing, Logistics, S-Type, etc.)
  • Hires and staffs GMs, AMs, and all other store and store support positions.
  • Trains, develops, and evaluates staff.
  • Oversees all new store developments, meets executives expectations and deadlines.
  • Ensures product logistics, pricing, and functionality of all third party vendors, meets corporate budgets, including monthly reporting.
  • Oversees and manages all in store signage, presentation and merchandising adheres to company vision.
  • Oversees and manages all online inventory and design.
  • Overview of all NAV Operations including purchase orders, review, and functionality.
  • Implements back end of all online technology.
  • Directs all Retail Operation Policy Guides and Training.
  • Oversees all sales and store operations.
  • Assisting in accounting audits for the state.
  • Oversees and supports onsite inspections to ensure compliance.
  • Adjusts par levels to ensure all items meet individual store par requirements.
  • Streamlines and solves inventory issues.
  • Holds weekly meetings to create strategy and forecast (3 months in advance).
  • Acts as the liaison between retail General Managers and Purchasing Manager.
  • Constructs, at a minimum three months ahead, all marketing plans.
  • Assisting the market with all aspects of customer satisfaction.
  • Brainstorms with Marketing and executives to develop new and innovative ways to draw in Patrons with deals and discount plans.
  • Directs all special events.
  • Schedule and Time Keeping overview.
  • Implement, create and build new programs, processes, and set department goals.
  • Directs the Marketing Department for placement of in-store advertisement materials (signage, tags and digital frames, floor decals, and etc.)
  • Implements and directs all new marketing programs – weekly deals, outgoing texts, and all coupons.
  • Inventory Control SpecialistOther tasks as assigned.
    • o   Coordinates wholesale deals with the Inventory Control Specialist (ICS)
    • o   Helps to coordinate between ICS and distribution in order to ensure all stores meet par levels for all regulated and non-regulated items.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree or relevant work experience with multi-store management and operations
  • 5+ years of progressive financial/retail operating experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience with multi-store supervision and management
  • Experience in Retail/Wholesale in medium or large company.
  • Ability to execute retail plan-o-grams for marketing changes.
  • Ability to work with vendors to ensure correct product type, pricing and qty fit within budget(s).
  • Ability to lead, plan and manage change.
  • Able to execute CEOs vision and mission.
  • Must possess a successful track record involving business and organizational planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of budgeting, sales, business development, and strategic planning.
  • Strong skills in an ERP system, especially Microsoft Dynamics NAV
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong prioritizing and time management skills.
  • Excellent team work skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to swiftly and compliantly make changes with little notice.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time
Other Requirements

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to individually lift up to 25 lbs.;
  • Must be able to work in an indoor environment with known allergens;
  • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for long periods of time.
Work Requirements
  • Must be able to work in a retail environment with moderate to loud noise level.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays. May be requested to work overtime, as business demands require;
  • Must be able to acquire Agent in Charge Badge ($155 Fee to State of IL) prior to beginning employment, which includes a background check.
